It’s Henhurst’s first full moon and Lorcan is inviting his neighbors to join him in his great grandfather’s infamous suitcase for a casual little get together. (This is definitely what Newt Scamander intended it to be used for.)

Lorcan absolutely did not bother with cute decorations or a theme and the ~~party~~ GET TOGETHER looks like it was thrown together half-assedly at the last minute-- because it was. There’s a bunch of seating by way of old couches and camper chairs, and some folding tables for playing games or eating or just vibing or whatever. There’s a bonfire for roasting hotdogs and marshmallows, the cooler has plenty of drinks, and there are a bunch of different pizzas set out on one of the folding tables.

WHAT TO KNOW

Chiara Lobosca, with the aid of the Patil-Browns, invented an improved version of the Wolfsbane potion that allows for a painless transformation.

The gathering starts around 6pm but the full moon doesn’t rise until about 8pm. There’s a big, beautiful full moon hanging in the “sky” of each of the suitcase’s five biomes. Conveniently, they are all big and bright enough to light up each area.

The creatures currently living in here under Lorcan’s care are (mostly) harmless, but Lorcan asks that they not be disturbed. Guests can, however, feel free to feed floating pellets to the Mooncalves out tonight and they’re welcome to take home some dung to fertilize their plants.

» What’s Up?: What’s your character up to tonight?

» Lorcan’s Flat: The door’s propped open for guests to let themselves in and the suitcase is open on a chair near the entrance. There’s a downward pointing arrow taped to the inside lid of the luggage. Y’know, in case they don’t know which direction to go.

The room itself is poorly decorated and cluttered with books, notepads, napkins with writing on them, and plants. All furniture has been pushed to one side of the apartment to make room for Lorcan’s tent and Pickles’ growing (tiny) MDF mansion.

» The Suitcase: Climb down the ladder and into an old, well-loved shack cluttered with more books, notes, and plants. This shack looks way more lived in than Lorcan’s apartment.

There are five separate biomes for different habitats, but the party takes place in the desert biome replicating the White Desert in Egypt.

Guests are welcome to explore as long as they don’t bother the animals. That includes the Billywigs.

» Fun & Games: There are a bunch of different games set out on one of the tables if you’re up for it. Play Twister! Make up words in Scrabble! Do whatever!

» Bonfire & Snacks: Chill around the bonfire, burn some marshmallows, eat too much pizza.

Lorcan looks!! Like shit!!! He's exhausted and it shows. There's already an empty pizza box discarded before the party even starts and he'll probably spend a lot of time just vibing on the couch and chain smoking when he's not playing games. (He doesn't want to admit that maybe he's a little anxious to transform in front of his friends and acquaintances, even though this was 100% his idea.)

He's wearing a comfy, oversized robe to protect his ✨modesty✨ for when he transforms. And also because it's extremely comfortable and he can get away with it.

Teddy's here, out of somewhat morbid curiosity (it'd be silly to pretend none of it has to do with his father). He left a bottle of something quite nice in Lorcan's apartment on the way into the suitcase.

He'll consider joining in any games, but mostly hangs out around the fire, looking a bit over-dressed in some sort of vintage leather-punk Lewk. Once in a while, a pair of white wolf's ears pokes out of the jungle of curls at the top of his head.

Well. She's here.

Dominique considered backing out at the sight of the ladder, and then once more at all of the sand in this desert biome, but she seems to settle in somewhat after a bit of time to explore. Her only effort at dressing up was putting on a bit of lavender eyeshadow. She'll generally be clinging to various cousins' sides and awkwardly listening to conversations she barely contributes to. Life of the party!!!

Lysander is not actually a party pooper by nature, but this party makes him a little nervous. He's in attendance, how could he not, but has taken it upon himself to regulate everyone as much as possible. He has eagle eyes everywhere and at the slightest provocation, he'll snap a little. Don't you touch those animals. If he can get wrapped up enough in a game he'll calm down a little, but more realistically, everything will be just spotless from his nervous cleaning by the end of the night.

Catherine's never been in a SUITCASE before!!!!

Wearing an outfit composed entirely of shades of turquoise, she stands out against the surroundings. Not just because she's loud.

Aster rolls in pretty late, fresh off a shift at Meat Sweats, smelling vaguely of meat, which she thinks will be kind of nice for the guest of honor?
As long as there's enough pizza.

Anyway, she also kept her stage makeup on from the Midsummer matinee earlier, which is pretty sparkly, so it's really a great vibe all in all.

Corrie is made vaguely awkward by the suspicion that her dad would not approve of her coming. But technically he always said not to go out on full moons and she is very definitely going further in, and technically he never has to know, and of course she's a grown woman and it doesn't matter what her dad thinks. Obviously.

But when will she have this opportunity again??

Luckily, she's soon distracted by the fact that the suitcase is enormous and really really cool.

Sometimes Lysander is ashamed that he, likely, is more nervous than his brother is on full moons. He knows, of course, that the potion has taken any discomfort away, and he always triple-checks to make sure Lorcan has it. There's still just the worry that something could go wrong. And this time, their entire new apartment building could potentially be around to witness. It's another complexity in an already anxiety-provoking process, and Lysander is taking that anxiety out on literally everyone who chooses to come to the party.

"Straight down!" He half-barks, perched at the edge of the suitcase, pointing into it like perhaps the big yellow arrow isn't clue enough. "The party's not in the apartment, don't touch anything!"

"Their feces makes for one of the most excellent fertilizers found in nature," Lorcan tells the person approaching him, because they definitely would like to know all about this. "It needs to be harvested during the night of the full moon, but before sunrise."

He tosses a handful of pellets to the Mooncalves drawn out by the artificial moonlight. "If we keep feeding them, they should make plenty of fertilizer to spare for when the gardens open up."

There's no chance Hugo wouldn't be here tonight. A party? In a suitcase? Where one of his flatmate will turn into a werewolf? Come on! Any plans he had could be rescheduled. This opportunity comes around only once every... well, full moon? But still.

But for all the same reasons Hugo's here, he's disquieted. The disorienting space, the impending transformation. Of course, Hugo lacks the proper introspection to fully understand his unease or why he seeks out the company of his older cousin at the edge of the party. Yet here he is. "Dom," he smiles and skips the final few steps over to her. "What are you doing here by yourself?"

Louis arrived with Pictionary in hand. He'd been taught it was rude to show up empty handed to a party, after all. He placed it with the other games and looked around to see who else was there.

There's only one game that one should really bring to a party like this, and that's the classic parlor diversion, Werewolf. Aster brought the last-minute version, where she just writes roles on pieces of paper and draws from a hat. Sit down and be a real fake werewolf!

[OOC: I think the best way to do this is just tag in and I'll email you your role! We can just jump to discussing/accusations which is the fun part, and I'll just use placeholders for the other parts so that this can get started with only a few people. There will be seven parts in each game! This is experimental so maybe it'll just be a bunch of kids accusing each other of lycanthropy!]
