what's up?

At exactly 3 AM on Monday morning, the winners of Meat Sweats' Meat Cute Bingo hear jaunty circus music playing from outside their apartment doors. If they choose to investigate, they open their door to find a gate leading to the entrance of a lively carnival.

… Of meat, that is! A carnival of meat!

Illustrated sideshow banners of the winners are hung at the entrance and can be found around the carnival itself.

Attractions for the evening include but are not limited to:

• A circus performance in one of the big tents. Meaty constructs (both human-esque and animal-esque shaped) are putting on a dazzling show that's sure to amaze and not horrify anyone at all!
  
• A ferris wheel in the style of a rotisserie hot dog broiler. Delicious!
  
• Big slabs of ribeyes that function as trampolines.
  
• Meat-based carnival games. (Frog launch, but it's cooked frogs legs. Ball toss, but it's meatballs.)
  
• A Zoltar-style automated fortune teller, but he's made of meat. The fortune cards he spits out are based on the doneness of meats: "Well done!" "Feeling Blue." "Quite rare, that." They are printed by searing slices of prosciutto.
  
• A concession stand. The featured item is the Coronation Street Pie, but you can also grab some popcorn chicken or Slim Jims shaped into funnel cake or pretzels. All the food is meat and all the drinks are meat-based broth.
  

So come on down and join the fun! A delicious carnival made with normal meats!

what to know!

⬥ Only the bingo winners from the Meat Cute can hear the music and access the carnival. These characters are: Coronation Street Pye, Lorcan Scamander, Aster Parkinson, Albus Potter, Hugo Weasley, Griselda Goyle, Louis Weasley, and Criswell Trelawney.

Other residents cannot access the carnival no matter what tricks they try. You're still welcome to thread in the "Outside The Carnival" section!

⬥ The carnival lasts for exactly one hour, from 3 AM to 4 AM. Attendees can leave at any time through the gate where they entered and be transported to the elevator. The display will say that they are currently on Floor 5 ❔ Unknown. There is no fifth floor button so once they leave, they cannot come back.

If they're still attending the carnival once 4 AM hits, the carnival disappears and they'll find themselves on the elevator. The 'open door' button will not open to the fifth floor again.

Additionally, characters don't have to enter the carnival but the music won't stop until 4 AM.

⬥ Journals still work, if they've brought theirs along, but photographs of the carnival come out blurry while the people themselves come out clear. Items from the circus are real and can be brought out of the gate and back to Henhurst, but any magical enchantments (for example, the ones animating the Meat People) will break once they leave the carnival.

The two stacks make quite a roll, more than she rightly needs, but tearing them down has soothed Corrie’s temper down to a mere sarcastic sizzle, and she can handle carrying a load of paper. And besides, they’re mostly funny, so it’s worth it.

“When we’re all turned to beautiful chickens, but we’re household names and they’re making a film about it? You think they’ll keep this bit?” She twists her mouth at the whole mad carnival, the trampolines and the broth and Meat Zoltar. “You think they’ll keep the clowns?”

"Oh, this will definitely be in the movie. No doubt in my mind." Hugo nods assuredly at Corrie. "I can picture it, clear as day, some studio executive reads the script and exclaims, These two! We need more of these two in the story!" Hugo-as-money-grubbing-studio-executive twirls the ends of an impressive imaginary mustache.

"These two will sell tickets!" Hugo laughs and moves to take the rolled up posters from Corrie and use them as a make-shift cane. The kind the ultra-rich have, usually with some animal head carved into the top, even though they don't actually need them. "The clowns? Eh, the clowns can stay if there's room. But these two are the stars."

Corrie laughs too, finally: he mimics well, and she can easily picture this super-rich, stereotypically posh executive with the flashy 'stache and superior taste. "We are the stars," she declares, though a few weeks ago she wouldn't have willingly shared top billing with him, or nearly anyone in his family. "To hell with the clowns!"
