you shouldn't necessarily should not have, nor should. although i'd caution against divulging your middle name if you ever choose to RSVP to an unknown entity's gathering.

it's said that names are power. giving your full name to someone or something could give them power over you, and naming something that has no name can give it power. there are many examples of this in legend and folklore. you don't give a fae your true name or name a boggart.
