This whole situation is giving Briar extreme Hogwarts-school-dance flashbacks, an activity he was not particularly suited for in his younger years and is still not suited for now. People intimidate him, generally. The fact that he's been outfitted in a green feathered chicken mask would usually feel like some kind of metatextual dig on his personality, but he figures in this case it's just because the building really likes chickens. Maybe it's a compliment.
Anyway. He's a coward, and he hasn't talked to anyone on purpose all night. Someone radiating wallflower vibes seems like as good a bet as any for making a friendly connection.
He sidles up to this person and spends a second just watching the dance floor in silence before he finally manages a soft cough and a "Do you want to dance?" in her general direction.
Dom is actually sort of distracted; she's been lost in thought about something at work, blandly watching people and rabbits and fairies and birdies go by as cauldron temperatures turn around in her head. The cough is startling, but not in a jumpy way -- more like her eyes focus again. She blinks up at the green-feathered chicken ?man.
"Um," she says. "Okay. Yes."
Truthfully, she's not much of a dancer. But it'd be rude to say no. Maybe even unkind. This person could be as uncomfortable here as she is.
