I know March's been mad eventful (thanks, Reagan Khanna from the Prophet for giving my mum a third birthday) but HOW have we been here almost two months, honestly?

Did you all ever find out who was hosting that party? Willoughby said that the invitations weren't from the staff 'explicitly'. Whatever that means.

Two months is ages to hold off on a fiendish plan.

But no, I don't think so? There wasn't really anyone in charge at the thing itself except maybe the egg bloke. And the chickens, sort of.

And it was a whole big thing too, like the carnival. Everything looking like a totally different place, like outside. It's got to be a mental amount of work even with magic, I can move a bunch of sand but can't make it actually look entirely like a beach, you know? So there had to have been more than one person involved.

I feel like scheming and patience go hand in hand, actually.

Well I mean... obviously it sounded sketchy as hell. But talking about it before, even though we didn't quite know how it would all be, made it sound a bit less mad since we'd all be in it together. If a bunch of my mates are there, I reckon we can deal with it. Especially with like all the Potters about, that's like their job and all.

And then when we got there the worst that happened was losing a good costume, spin the chicken and some folks making themselves sick. I've been to loads worse parties than that so no, it doesn't worry me that I don't know who threw it.

And you know, nothing really awful has even happened here since we moved in? It's mostly little weird things but no one's even gotten hurt, right, even with the lift. And if nothing happened to me at the Carnival of Edible Nightmares or at the not-an-orgy, I'm not gonna fash myself until something new happens that's actually a danger.

I think I'd look to Roxanne before any of the Potters, given their areas of expertise. [...] But I take your points. I suppose. [...] I'll fash enough for both of us, anyway.

She'd probably be the most effective, but never underestimate a family legacy.

And yeah I reckon you will. Do you have a theory on what the goal is yet or is that just general fashing? Last I heard Lorcan's is still the only one out there but I've not kept a tally or nowt.

Maybe, but even if the genes don't work out the weight can be there.

Would it help to just think it's probably the matchmaking and plan for that but keep your eyes open?
