After the service is over, Lorcan circles the church to take photographs on his instant camera. He's mostly focused on Henhurst's chickens and the weeping statue.
"Isn't it interesting?" he asks the first person who hangs around just long enough for him to take socially hostage. "They seem to have developed their own culture and writing system."

THE CHURCH: Lorcan the Researcher & Hugo the Converting
Aster knows what guilt is, of course. It's the feeling one gets after eating half a pack of Oreos in one sitting, or thinking too hard about what your mother was known for in school. Catholic guilt, though, is a unique experience, even in Chicken form. She's never had the particular experience of sitting down and thinking about every wrong she's ever knowingly or unknowingly committed against a higher pecking power. Super uncomfortable. So that's not what Aster is doing now, even though there's only a few people ahead of her for confession.
She is, instead, practicing her best contrite face, and for an actor, it's a little bad. She does a deep sigh, then what she knows of the sign of the cross ended with a soft "peep peep," and bows her head. The stillness and sorrow end when she peeks up and addresses the person next to her in a whisper.
"...What are you saying in there?"
This is between them and Gallus, ostensibly, but she does need ideas.

THE CHURCH: Hugo Examines His Conscience With Aster
"What? Me?" Hugo looks up at Aster, completely unprepared to be asked this question. Although he shouldn't have been. He is in line after all. It's just... "Well," Hugo lowers his voice and scans for any chickens that might be eavesdropping, "I was going to make something up, if I'm being honest. Maybe... coveting thy neighbor's wifi?"
Another careful glance for any nearby chickens. "What about you?"
Slouched in her pew like a teenage delinquent as Father Peck's resonant bawking echoes across the chapel, Corrie glances around the room with her judgement face on. "I can't believe anyone's buying this," she mutters to the person nearest her.
Character Name: Molly Weasley Confession: She's been stuffing trash under the seats in the dining area at Flavourtown. She's stolen about five -- no, wait, seven -- of her sister's sweaters since they got here and has been charming them together into a stylish, eccentric DIY blanket. Honesty: Like an even 5. She's almost certainly sinned more than this, but is not self-aware enough to realize it. Fear of (Chicken) God: 1. No gods or chickens only man. Hard Boiled Eggs: Asking gran to make them for her. DEVIL'ed Eggs: You KNOW she does. Privacy: Chaos.
Character Name:Aster Parkinson Confession: Took the lord's species name in vain 3 times. Disrespected her holy father Gallus by imagining him human 1+ time. Watched that scene in willy wonka where the chicken's head gets cut off without blinking. Endangered her health by not eating enough egg protein. Honesty: Like...8 in that these are true but they're not real sins they're just the closest to chicken sins she could think of. Fear of (Chicken) God: 1 you cannot fear a god when you hold his secrets Hard Boiled Eggs: Do slices off the big egg tube that Meat Sweats inevitably utilizes for salads. DEVIL'ed Eggs: While making eye contact with the good sister, sideways Privacy:Big Chaos
Thought it was funny when the Doxy tried to attack Albus.
Craves the meat of chicken.
Has lusted after someone in a relationship.
Drinks directly from the milk jug and puts it back in the fridge.
Sprinkles his nail trimmings and shed hair into his potted plants to help them grow, and also because it makes him feel more connected to the plant if it has a little piece of him in it. Honesty: 10 Fear of (Chicken) God: 3. Just superstitious enough to have a healthy respect for unknown entities. Hard Boiled Eggs: Put eggs in pot of water, bring water to a boil, take pot off fire once boiled with the intention of taking them out in five minutes. It's never five minutes; either he forgets about them and leaves them sitting there for hours, or he gets impatient and fishes them out of the boiling water to eat them. DEVIL'ed Eggs: No, this is obviously a Test. Privacy: Chaos!!
Character Name: Corrie Pye Confession: She eats eggs with ketchup or maple syrup, sometimes both. She's never told her family about any relationship she's had. She eats bacon specifically to piss off her sister. She snogged someone famous for the photo op. Honesty: 1. Chickens ain't hearing none of her business, she is 100% confessing to things other people do. Fear of (Chicken) God: 2 Hard Boiled Eggs: Put eggs on burner. Leave them there until she remembers they exist. DEVIL'ed Eggs: Gross, no. Who knows how long it's been there? Privacy: Chaos
Character Name: Hugo Weasley Speed: 7 Observational Skills: 3. He lives in a world of bright colors. An egg doesn't stand out. Competitiveness: 9. Here to prove himself!!! Are they willing to push someone out of their way if it means achieving the glory and power that the title of Hen Excellency will bring them? He'll push like half his family members, Sian, Corrie, and every single one of the selfie-taking interlopers. Do they tend to take the stairs or the elevator when it comes to hunting eggs? Hugo has "defeated" the elevator before! He has no fear of it!
Character Name: Corrie Pye Speed: 8, she's in pretty good shape as an athlete Observational Skills: 6, varies between super observant and super clueless Competitiveness: 7, typically high but unconvinced by anything about this holiday Are they willing to push someone out of their way if it means achieving the glory and power that the title of Hen Excellency will bring them? She's more likely to duck, dodge and wiggle her way under and around, but if they've pushed her first she will absolutely push them on every opportunity. Do they tend to take the stairs or the elevator when it comes to hunting eggs? She would plan to take the elevator all the way to the top, then the stairs down.
Character Name: Criswell Trelawney Speed: 4. He's more thorough than fast. Observational Skills: 10. He's meticulous and paranoid...so observation is sort of his thing. Competitiveness: 2. He's not even sure why he's doing this, to be honest. Are they willing to push someone out of their way if it means achieving the glory and power that the title of Hen Excellency will bring them? Not even a little, no. If he realizes he's going for the same egg as someone else, he'd rather back down than get into any sort of scuffle. Please don't push him. Push him. Do they tend to take the stairs or the elevator when it comes to hunting eggs? Stairs. Absolutely stairs.
Character Name: Roxanne Weasley Speed: 9 this is her profession. Well. Like. Speed. Not. Egg hunting. Observational Skills: In this environment like...7ish? Competitiveness: 6 because if one of her baby brother or cousins wants it more, she'd stealth dump her eggs in their basket instead. Are they willing to push someone out of their way if it means achieving the glory and power that the title of Hen Excellency will bring them? If she's able to get away with it without consequence, yes and only then Do they tend to take the stairs or the elevator when it comes to hunting eggs? Stairs, she has confidence in her ability to outrun an elevator

Competitiveness: 10 - Normally, she isn't known for being super competitive but the second she cracked that first glorious egg filled with those sweet sweet galleons she was imbued with the spirit of a niffler. Get the F Out of My Way tik tok song plays* Do they tend to take the stairs or the elevator when it comes to hunting eggs? There are more places to hide eggs on the stairs, so stairs.
Hugo, proud resident of Chicken Church floor, is here. He's wearing his Easter Sunday best (which is a button down with bunnies on it). He spends most of the sermon trying to understand Father Peck's sexual appeal and judging the people who have come simply to see weeping Gallus.
Hugo will take communion, confess, and participate in the egg hunt. Down for any and all scenes! Happy to do an OPEN++ starter, too, for others to tag into.
EDIT: I'll be busy for the next few hours, but I'll respond to Confessions later this afternoon!
Hello yes thank you I adore this omg. I would love to thread and will throw some starters around if I have the brain power to do so.
Aster is thrilled to see Father Peck's Real Religion gaining some ground. Pecksannah in the highest, Cluckalluia. Anyway, obviously, she will be here, clad all in white like a newly baptized chick. At this point I am not sure how much she genuinely believes in chicken God and how much she just wants to see if she can help start a chicken cult, but does it matter, really.
Roxanne is here out of morbid curiosity? Alex can they have like, dragged their parents here under the guise of Easter Sunday Church As A Family because that's the kind of shit Roxy would pull her loved ones into. If not, she probably did this with her cousins but since they know the context it's not quite as funny. She might be a stealth egg hunt contender as well.
Lysander does not want anything to do with this and is probably outside the door handing out leaflets about the perils of organized religion I don't know.
Corrie is there because it's her floor (she'll go to family stuff later) but she remains skeptical about the crying statue miracle. She was more into the chicken cult thing when it was a joke and she had some control over it, now that it's becoming a Thing she's all suspicious.
Criswell is sort of feeling like he lives in the Twilight Zone right now, but this seems harmless enough so he's here?? Participating?? And trying to get his head around this/gauge how the others actually feel about all of this.
