"Hmm," Albus says again. On one hand, that wasn't English. On the other hand, that was definitely an English accent. "Where about were you born? My old stomping grounds is Foxport Crossβit's this little place in Surrey."
Ebenezer lets out a huff through his nose. "I know where Foxport Cross is," he says, a little more testily than he'd meant, but who in Surrey didn't know about Foxport Cross, home to Harry Potter and the Actual Rich? "I grew up... close enough to there. Our estate was just a little more isolated."
Yes. That definitely sounds impressive and not frustratingly vague. Right? Right.
Better not think of it anymore. He snaps up the card in front of him for a distraction. "I suppose that means you're not Irish—how about a monarchist?"
Wait, does this guy not like him? Or is it his father? Or is it just this guy's face...? Either way, Albus is getting that slightly antsy, nervous feeling he gets when he can sense someone experiencing a negative emotion about him.
He leans in towards Ebenezer, attempting to sound trustworthy (and possibly just coming off as weird). "Would it be a big help if I said I was a monarchist? Because I do think we should all try to help one another with this weird game."
Albus groans. "People always think I'm a cop. Occupational hazard of being Harry Potter's son, I guess." Although people never think James is a cop, mostly because James is actually cool. Ugh. Albus shakes his head, and tries to put on a winning smile. "Honestly, I just want to clear this bingo card as fast as I can. I mean, do we really think asking someone if they cut their own hair is the way to find a date?"

Wait, he didn't mean to say that aloud.
Welp, too late now. Gotta roll with it. "If this is part of some loophole to cancel the cheap rent, you have to tell me."
