Admittedly, Criswell has been more focused on completing the task at hand than actually socializing but...Corrie has a point. He supposes. He places his card on the table, making certain that it's perfectly lined up in front of him, and then offers the young woman his hand, "In that case. Criswell Trelawney. A pleasure."
Corrie smiles and takes his hand, nodding in time with one firm shake. "Very nice to meet you," she says. "So..." she glances at her card. This didn't look like a weird bloke, so maybe lay off the weird squares for a mo, go with something anyone could answer. "What do you like to do when you're not rushing round asking about people's eating habits?"
"There's nothing wrong with being task-oriented," Criswell protests, though he has the decency to look a bit sheepish about this approach now that he's been called on it. Twice. He doesn't mind at all when Corrie returns to her own card, though.
He considers the question, his slim fingers twining together in front of him. "...Well. I work a lot. I'm training to be a luthier. Apart from that, I play music, I read, I go out. There's no shortage of things to see in London. I...divine. Sometimes." His lack of success doesn't seem relevant. Stopping there, he nods toward the girl. "...What about you?" This question isn't on his card, but it seems like the appropriate response. In the spirit of actually getting to know one another.
"Oh, that's a lot," Corrie says, considering whether music or divination was more the favourite hobby, because surely one of them must be. Probably music, since it connected to his job? "I play Quidditch, I do a lot of flying. I like concerts. Read some comics." She frowns a little. Is she coming across like a meathead? "I like puzzles too," she adds, though that didn't feel like a hobby exactly.
"You play guitar then, I'm guessing? Not like you play harmonica or trumpet and just got into making guitars unrelatedly."
Quidditch is altogether too chaotic and too brutal for Criswell. He's never made it through a match without covering his eyes. He even tenses up a bit before nodding his understanding, "Professionally? That's...ah, impressive. You must be a remarkable flyer." Remembering one of the squares on his card, he pauses and inquires hopefully, "Any chance you're the captain?"
The question about instruments, though, earns a small laugh. "I can play several string instruments with...some proficiency, but I prefer the violin. I can play the piano too. But, you're right, I wouldn't know where to start with a harmonica."
The image of Corrie Pye, Wigtown Captain, floats through her mind for a moment, followed by another of her mum going absolutely mental. Proud Mum Goes Hog Wild, the headline would read, and then McCormack Throttles Wanderers Manager. "I'm way too young for captain," she says, silently grateful for it. "But I was back in school and I marked that for a friend earlier so it still counts." It was Decided.
"My uncle says harmonica's pretty easy, but he also says everything's easy compared to pipes," she says. Then she perks up, and the Game Face returns. "Wait -- you play piano?"
Criswell doesn't know much about Quidditch, let alone about the requirements one must meet to become a captain, but he accepts this without question. Especially that part about being a captain in school. He nods in keen agreement as he marks off another square, "That absolutely counts."
Noticing the shift in the girl's expression, a sharpening of focus, he nods again. She's assisted him more than anyone else tonight, the least he can do is return the favor. "Since I was four. Mum taught piano; she wasn't going to have a son that couldn't play." Then he pauses, considering what she'd said about her uncle, "...what, like a pipe organ?"
"No like bagpipes, he pipes, he's a piper," Corrie says vaguely, leaning over her card as she finds -- and marks -- PLAYS THE PIANO. "Annnnnd I have BINGOOOO!" Her voices builds to a cheer and she raises her arms in victory, just as the whistle blows.

Criswell doesn't have time to be disappointed in grandfather Pye's instrument of choice. Corrie's delight over her bingo is too contagious. He smiles to himself as the whistle blows and he stands up, preparing to depart, "...Congratulations."
